I stopped looking for the light

when the darkness learned my name.

I wake beneath a ceiling painted black,

Every road I take just pulls me further back.

I wear the night like armor on my skin,

The world keeps calling, but I won't let it in.

I've made a home where the shadows breathe,

Where every broken dream is buried underneath.

No sun reaches the corners of my mind,
