You raised a girl who respects the world, and just wants to get by. I spend everyday tryna find my way, in this crazy world, I call life. I can’t express how much you mean to me, I just wish you could see how much I’m trying. I know I mess up everyday with every breath I take but I hope you know I’m also growing. I wanna prove to you and dad how much I care about that, I just sometimes lose focus on the important things in life. But no matter what I do, you never lose sight of the woman I’m meant to be. It’s such a blessing to say, you never give up on me and I can someday show you just how much you mean to me. I love you mom, I’d do anything to make sure you’re always okay. I know growing up we’d always argue or fight but now I see that you were always right. It’s such a blessing to call you my mom, I’d do anything to protect you, even if it takes my own life. I thought I was done writing this song, but I can’t stop thinking about you and everything we made it through. I put you through hell growing up but yet you always had my back. I hope you know I wish I could take some things back, but I’m getting older and see everything you always did for me, which shaped into the woman I was meant to be.
