Life’s too short to live in rage

To carry hate like it’s a cage

I’m breaking out, I’m burning bridges

I’m done with pain, I’m done with vengeance

I used to hold grudges like trophies on the shelf

Feeding the fire while I burned myself

Built up walls, thought I was strong

But silence and pride don’t right the wrongs

People change, yeah, they fade away

But I kept the weight like it had to stay

Told myself I’d never forget

But I was the prisoner in my own head

And every scar was a badge I wore

Till I asked what the hell I’m fighting for

This anger don’t bring peace to me

Just robs my joy and steals my sleep

Life’s too short to bleed from old wounds

Too loud inside to hear the truth

I’m laying down the war inside

Trading my darkness for the light

No more hate, no more chains

I’m not gonna drown in that old pain
