RISE

When I was just a child,

I was born a little wild.

My mama could never settle me.

And like a mustang running in the plains,

I ran the plains to the open sea.

And every hardship that I had,

and every tear I ever shed.

It made me tougher, made me wiser,

All the blood that I have bled.

And clothes covered in mud stains.
