I wake up tired before the sun

Counting all the things I haven’t done

Dishes, laundry, prayers at night

Trying to hold it all just right

Mirror talks louder than my friends

Points out every place I bend

Wondering if I’m enough today

Or falling short in every way

Thinking they’ve got something I desire

Graceful moms, steady hands

Balancing life like it’s all been planned

But every smile hides a weight

Every strong heart hesitates

We’re all just trying to believe

We’re more than what we think we see
