“Let Them See You”

I still remember Sunday light, piled in the van before first light

You’d both be there, hearts open wide, pouring out your praise

You ran the games, you led the songs, you showed us where our faith belongs

I saw your love for Jesus loud and strong, and it shaped my ways

But now the church doors open wide, and we walk in without you by our side

You say you still believe—I know you do

But I miss the fire that used to shine through you

I want them to see you with your hands raised high

To hear your voice sing “Jesus” with tears in your eyes

I want them to watch you bow and pray

Like I did back in the golden days

‘Cause they’re growing fast, and they need to know

The roots they stand on didn’t start with me alone

Let them see you loving Him out loud

Let them see you in the crowd

They sing their hearts on Christmas night, their little voices full of light

And I glance at the back rows hoping you’ll be there

To witness what your prayers helped prepare

They don’t know the stories yet

Of the camps and altar steps

Of the way your faith shaped every part of me

But they could, if you’d let them see

I want them to see you with your hands raised high

It’s not about checking every box

It’s the legacy that might be lost

They’ll know you love Him, yes that’s true

But there’s something powerful in the view

So let them see you with your hands held high

Come sit with us in the pews sometimes

Let them see the faith that built our home

The way it lived in you before I was grown

Let them see the worship that once made you shine

Let them see you giving Him your time

Not just in what you say, but what you do

Let them see Jesus… in you

They’re watching close, and I still need it too
