At Wawa, I stop for my daily routine,
A coffee, a Jersey scratch off, a winning dream.
The aroma of fresh coffee fills the air,
As I choose my tickets, without a care.
I study the selections, I pick my game,
Hoping this time it's not the same.
I put in my cash, with fingers crossed,
Hoping my luck won't again be lost.
The machine buzzes, and prints my fate,
I grab my coffee and eagerly await.
I sip my coffee, feeling hopeful and free,
Perhaps today, it's a big winner for me.
As I exit the store, the sun beats down,
But my thoughts are in the clouds, my hopes unbound.
I scratch off my ticket, heart pounding my chest,
Could this be the day I hit the jackpot, the best?
So at Wawa, I'll buy my daily brew,
A coffee, buttered roll and a ticket or two
I leave with a smile, my hopes still high,
Another Free Ticket and tomorrow another try
