Two Crosses

The cross on the right you gave to me

As a present on christmas eve

And I've worn it every day since

It gave hope for me to believe.

That I have found the perfect one

To cherish and love for life

And that someday I would ask

For you to become my wife.

So we married and had wonderful times

With many bumps along the way

But I stood by your side and took care of you

Each and every day.

But I wasn't there to hold your hand

When you left me New Years Eve

And maybe it was for a good reason

That God wanted me to believe.

That we would be togeather someday

In his heaven above

And until that day comes

I will always feel your love

As I now wear a second cross

With your ashes sealed within
