Choice against my Lord

Pick up my phone more than my bible now
When there was a time that book was always on my mind
Some nights I'd read till I fell asleep 
Wake up listening to sermons cause I needed Jesus in me
He's the way the truth and the Life

I would pray to Him every single day
Needed His power to keep them demons away 
All seemed well on this side of life with Him in mind
I know now that's what it means to taste the King
Psalms 34 8 is when I'm referencing 

Sweetest life I'd ever known
Till I starting putting me before His throne
Lost everything He gave me as my own


Lord I made choices that went against You
Chasing my own ambitions instead of chasing after you
Your Word is true and I believe it now
Cause I've lived the worst part 
And I wanna live the rest for You
So thank you Jesus for always caming through 
The joy deep in my heart 
Is what makes me serve You



365 days are in a year
That's another 365 days you spoke in my ear
Telling me not to make certain choices 
And I always seemed to listen to that other voice
Dooms day came filled with extreme pain
Hurt so bad I ever wanna live again
Lord knows I pleaded to Him to end my life
Told me He holds all existence and eternity
Said I'll set you free come on just follow me
But Lord my heart beats all my regrets and my shame
My son I've already carried that pain
And came to set the captives free
Your sins were bought and paid for
So just keep walking in the direction I speak
I knew all your steps from the first to the last
Your destiny's path set before your first breath 
All things I will use for the greater and the good
Keep walking my child we're almost outta woods
