I am the guilty one

Favored by sinners

Over the innocent Son

He was convicted

While I walked away free

He glady took the blame

And He did it for me

Truth isn't an idea

It can't be molded or changed

Truth is a person

Jesus Christ is His name

I cried out for help, and He heard me

Thank the Lord for His grace

Cause Truth met mercy

When He took my place

He wouldn't bow to persuasion

He wouldn't take the bait

He was the one on trial

But it was really my fate

They mocked the King of the Jews

Like we do today

But one day, no one can deny

When Truth forever reigns
