Someone does a walk
Someone does a run
Someone writes a book
Someone writes a song
Someone buys a cup of coffee
Someone shares a meal
Someone hosts a live
Someone donates a five
Someone volunteers a little time
Someone lends an ear
Someone says thank you
Someone gives a hug
Someone lends a smile
Someone lends a hand
It takes a village to raise a child
It takes a nation to honor a veteran
What you do may seem so small
But one person can't do it all
Everyone needs to do their part
Everything doesn't have to be an art
No veteran should ever be forgotten
No veteran should ever feel alone
No veteran should ever feel lost
Every veteran has shared the cost
Freedom is not free
What you do does matter
Regardless how big or small
Six percent of our nation
Has paid a price for the rest
We have our freedom today
Because they sacrificed their tomorrow
Those who escaped the grave
Often question why
Don't ever forget their sacrifices
You'll never know how much they gave
Don't ever question their pain
You'll never understand
Just do what you can to honor them
They are the ones
That once stood their ground
For us they gave their all
Nothing you do for them is small
