Storm Within

Raindrops fall, a melody so soft,

Once calming, now a distant cough.

Thunder roars, a haunting song,

Echoes of days where I didn't belong.

I used to love the rain’s gentle kiss,

Its whispering wind, a moment of bliss.

But shadows grew behind closed doors,

Turned the sky into my feared encore.

Lightning lights my broken past,

Flashing storms that seemed to last.
