Breaking the Thunder

Dark skies gather, the storm starts to swell.

A thunderclap echoes, each strike a story to tell.

Lightning flashes, a brief blinding light,

Echoes of struggle in the dead of night.

Every thunder roll, a reminder of pain,

Silent screams echo, a haunting refrain.

The ground shakes beneath, like walls caving in,

The storm rages on, trapped within.

But inside my heart, a flicker of hope,

A whisper that says, 'It's time to cope.'

To break these chains, to reclaim my soul,

To find the strength to make me whole.

Let the thunder roll, but I won't fold,

I'll break the storm, be brave and bold.

Survivor, rising from the rain,

Walking out of the shadow, shedding the pain.

Lightning strikes, yes, it may sting,

But I know, healing’s a glorious thing.

Put my hand in faith, let it guide,

With therapy and grace, I won't hide.

The storm may come and go, the thunder may roar,

But I am stronger now than I was before.

Leaving the storm behind, choosing to be free,

A survivor standing tall, finally me.
