Wings of an Eagle

Counting down the days, I’m breaking free

Flying high above the pain, just to be me

Wings of eagles, carrying me home

To Texas skies, where I belong

Falsely accused, but I’m still standing tall

Through the shadows and the stares, I won’t fall

No prejudiced gaze, no judgmental cries

Just open skies and hope in my eyes

Social media’s lies tried to bring me down

But I rise above and claim my crown

With wings of eagles, I soar away

Leaving behind the storm and the gray

Flying on wings of an eagle through the blue

Heading back home to a life anew

Standing brave, survivor’s pride shining through

Texas awaits, I’m coming home to you

Piece by piece, rebuilding my life

Leaving behind the fear and the strife

One day at a time, I’m finding my way

Flying high, I’ll never be swayed

With my head held high, I smile and say

I made it through, I’ve flown away

On wings of eagles, I finally see

Home is where I’m meant to be
