Moonlight shines on fields so wide,

Simple life I hold inside,

City lights can't bring me down,

Far from noise, I own this town.

All I need is my faithful horse,

The river's call, my peaceful source,

Line in hand, I cast my fate,

Living free, I won't hesitate.

This country life is my own song,

Hard work and truth, I stand strong,

Not rich in gold, but rich in soul,

Living wholesome, making me whole.

If I had another chance to choose,

I'd walk these trails, I'd sing the blues,

For in my heart, I know the way,

Forever bound where I stay.

So if you come to my porch's door,

Better have reason, know the score,

My land, my pride, my protect and shield,

My loaded gun, my field.

This is my country, my home, my life,
