Mother Earth

From sky to the shores,

We roam, we swim, we fly.

With each breeze, with each wave, with each day,

You give life, you give food, you sustain.

With every spin, from dusk to day,

The sun and moon, they shine on you;

You glow in blue and greenish rays—

A cradle of wonder, ancient and new.

Mountains hum low, rivers keep time,

We walk in your rhythm, we borrow your rhyme.

Mother Earth, you are our home, our love, our throne.

The King awaits our mended ways.

With good words we must repay—

And with deeds of care we must follow.

Yet we treat you wrong, we make you cry;

We pollute your naked sky.

We thrash your soil with waste,

We slaughter your children because of our poor taste.

Smoke in the heavens where stars should stay,

Oil on the waters that once danced play.

Forests fall silent, oceans ache,

All for a profit we rush to take.

Forgive our sins, don’t rebuke our souls—

Teach us the courage to mend what we stole.

Turn our habits into vows we’ll keep,

Wake us from comfort, out of our sleep.

Mother Earth, you are our home, our love, our throne.

The King awaits our mended ways.

But deeds of right shall follow, not just praise.

We’ll heal what we broke, we’ll plant, restore,

Give back the breath we begged for before.

Clean up the rivers, let wild things roam,

Make every valley a living home.

Choose less to waste and more to share,

Promise to protect, not just get by.

And we will all unite to abolish sorrow,

Shape a brighter, kinder tomorrow.
