Why Did You Keep Me?

In the silence of my soul, I ask the heavens why

Echoes of my pain, tears I can't deny

Once I stood tall, fearless and proud on my own

But life’s storms left me hollow, in shadows I've grown

Questions in my heart, whispers in the night

Why did you keep me here, in this endless fight?

You saved me once from death’s cruel grip

Gave me a chance, a new life to script

Now I suffer in the dark, haunted by my past

Still I ask, Lord, why—will this pain ever pass?

Oh, Lord, why did you choose me?

To carry this burden silently

A survivor turned to voice, a beacon of hope

Why did you keep me here, Lord, if not to cope?

Through the night terrors and the endless fears

I hear your whispers, your love appears

In every scar, your purpose I find

A calling to comfort, a strength divine

So I stand in the storm, with faith in my heart

Knowing I’m part of your grand, divine art

Though I question, I believe, I am here for you

To speak for the silent, to show what’s true
