A Happy Place

Put myself on a hill to

find my happy place

not cause I'm above you

I'm just reaching out to space

Its a spot with no air, yea

They said I'd suffocate

But my brain is a nightmare

my heart is my escape

I'll sing you all a love song

to get me through the day

No don't hit me when the night comes

my demons are at bay

All my inhibitions

keep me aimin straight

But I'm living in a world where

we have gone astray

I try to be so patient

but Doctors think they know the brain

They tell me Im divergent, yea

I diverge right from their lane

They tried to feed me pills so I would change my ways

But acting like your normal with meds is just insane.

Found my peace in the Lord's embrace

its about high time that I changed my ways

Never be Okay unless I express my faith

its a brand new world with that same old face

So lets just smile and forget this pain
