The night is fading, dawn draws near,  
A cry rings out for all to hear.  
The time has come, lift up your eyes—  
Salvation’s light now fills the skies.  

**Pre-Chorus:**
Too long we’ve wandered half-asleep,
While mercy calls and angels weep.
Now lift your eyes, the heavens gleam—
Salvation’s closer than our dreams!

**Chorus:**  
Wake, O sleeper, rise and shine,  
Put on the Lord—this heart is Thine.  
Cast off the dark, the day’s begun,  
Our hope is near in God’s dear Son.

No more the deeds of night’s despair,  
But walk in truth with hearts laid bare.  
In Christ the armor pure and bright,  
We stand and shine with holy light.
