A cowboys life is full of broken hearts and broken dreams

Always looking for a fence line or a peaceful running stream

From the gravel in his voice and the dust on his boots

The prairie songs he sings from his Wild Western roots

Willie sang “Cowboys ain’t easy to love”

And Chris Ledoux sang of Western Skies above,

A Cowboy’s heart is full of grit and pride

No Ordinary man can live a Cowboys Life

On his knees he prays before climbs down in the chute

Bucking Bulls and Broncos, tonight he drew a brute
