I don’t make the rules, I just read His Word

Second Timothy three-sixteen — every line God-breathed, every verse heard

So I check my walk, I check my plans

By what the Lord already told a man

He said love your wife like Christ loved the church

Ephesians five, twenty-five — love that lays down first

Not power, not pride, not standing tall

But sacrifice daily, giving your all

He said love is patient, love is kind

First Corinthians thirteen, four through five — every line

Not self-seeking, not keeping score

If it don’t match that, I do it no more

If the Word says do it, then that’s my stand

Leadership’s service, not raising a fist
