Yeah, I’m a city boy, born and raised,

But I got that country soul deep in my veins.

Stuck between two worlds, but I’m feeling just right,

More country than the town on a Friday night.

Skyscrapers towering, but I still hear the dirt,

Got concrete in my shoes, but my roots still work.

Coffee in my cup, but I long for fresh air,

Swear I’m more at home when I’m out there.

City lights, they shine so bright,

But they can't outshine my country pride.

Hustle all day, lay my head in the hay,

That’s where I’m meant to stay.

Walking through this urban glow.

Got dirt on my boots, even in town,

More country than anyone around.

Fast streets and honky-tonk beats,

But I still chase that sunset heats.

Fishing poles and country tunes,

Are part of me, no matter these city rooms.
