In the western world where majority rules,
They make us send our kids to government schools.
What would you expect a government school to teach?
Collectivism, dependency, to be a leech.
Collectivism is known by many names,
Socialism, communism, hunger games.
Everything YOU work for, they lay a claim,
They didn't help you earn it, it's always the same.
In the crowd, we’re told we should be a peach,
What they don't like, they always call hate speech.
But what of the human soul, that divine creation?
Grouped into masses, it seems a desecration.
They promise us security, if we just agree,
To turn in all our weapons, would we still be free?
They make everything illegal, and carve out for their friends.
They make us beg permission, regulation never ends.
Unity, they preach, is the answer we need,
But forced into obedience, the spirit will bleed.
The evils of collectivism lie in its chains,
It’s the silence of voices, it’s the loss of
our names.
Compare this with the virtues of freedom’s
sweet kiss,
Of individual potential, it's a personal bliss.
Here stands the man, with the right
to speak his mind,
In the face of the powerful, unjust and the unkind.
It’s the artist’s brush, the inventor’s dream,
It’s the rebel’s cry, the primal scream,
The power of one, the beauty of choice,
In the exercise of freedom, only YOU can use your voice.
Liberty’s pure light, a beacon so bright,
Gives hope despite tyrants, gives us clear sight,
It’s the fire within, it’s the quest for the new,
It’s the essence of humanity, it’s the freedom to pursue.
So here’s to the one, in the face of the all,
To the spirit unbroken, to standing tall,
Collectivism’s shadow may try to consume,
But the virtues of liberty are a precious heirloom.
Wake up, rise up, let your voice be heard,
You were born free, never be deterred.
Exercise all your rights to keep yourself free,
When your liberty is threatened you should never flee.
