Just me and my thoughts again,

Truck parked, world still spinnin’…

I’m sittin’ in my truck on break,

Tryna drift my mind away,

Same old view, same highway,

Same dreams I replay every day.

Pine trees swayin’ left to right,

Engines hummin’ under the light,

If money wasn’t tight tonight,

I’d be somewhere feelin’ alive.

But here I am with this half-cold drink,

Tryna fade out, tryna think.

What if life was more than work and sleep?

Yeah, what if peace was mine to keep?

If there was treasure in my bank,

I’d be out there, no lookin’ back.

Waves crashin’, sun on me,

Feelin’ free where I’m supposed to be.

But for now I’ll close my eyes,

Let my heart just fantasize.

Guess I’ll mesmerize and imagine

A place I’d rather be.

Maybe it’s the ocean breeze,

Or city lights that never sleep.

Maybe it’s the sound of rain,

Healin’ my soul from all this pain.

I see reflections on the glass,

Dreams I had that didn’t last.

But I still got hope in me,

One day I’ll live what I see.

But here I am, in park, not drive,

Playin’ songs that keep me alive.

Ain’t where I wanna be just yet,

But I ain’t losin’ faith, no regrets.
