I saw my son today in a babies smile

I saw him there for just a little while

I saw my son today in a playful boy

Trying to choose between many a toy

I saw my son today in a small child

Splashing in the mud puddles so wild

Out in a tree stand watching the does

Casting his pole in hopes of a fish to bake
