I’m Thankful To You

This years been tough,
Kids are all grown,
out doing their own thing outside of the home.
This thanksgiving as I sit here on my couch,
Drinking coffee thinking out loud,
about how grateful I am for this journey.

Lord, I’m thankful for all the memories,
of years past,
And all the love and joy that those memories bring.
Life alone isn’t always easy,
But I’m thankful this Thanksgiving Day.
Thank you God for getting me
 through the good and the bad,
 the times that brought joy, 
through tears when I’m sad,
You’ve always got me through.
And for that I’m thankful to you.

This new season of life,
comes the ups and the downs,
But I’m learning to navigate so I don’t drown.
This Thanksgiving as I’m looking out the window,
All I can think is how much you’ve gotten me through,
Most of all the joy and love you’ve given me,
So thankful for the memories.
