People mean well.

Say that they want friends who are true.

Friends who will be there for them through thick and thin.

People who won’t abandon them when times are tough.

Who are genuine when there is nothing to give but love.

But I’ve learned throughout life’s imperfect journey

That true friendship is hard to come by

Make a mistake or set a boundary

And all of a sudden they leave.

I’ve heard, Real situations expose fake people.

When times are hard, that’s when they show their heart.
