Blessed Are the Hungry

I been reachin’ for the wrong things,

Tryna fill a God‑shaped space.

But every cup I kept on liftin’

Left a drought I couldn’t shake.

Till I tasted somethin’ holy —

Now I’m ruined for anything fake.

Blessed are the hungry,

Blessed are the ones who thirst.

Blessed when you’re empty,

’Cause Heaven fills you first.

Blessed when you’re reachin’

For the righteousness of Him —

Blessed are the hungry,

He fills us from within.

I tried livin’ off opinions,

Tried to feed on people’s praise.

But it left me starvin’, wanderin’,

Lost inside a desert haze.

Till His Word became my portion —

Now I’m eatin’ truth for days.

Ohhh, I don’t want the world’s bread,

It never satisfies.

Give me living water, Jesus —

Only You can fill my life.

I’m hungry for Your presence,

I’m thirsty for Your ways —

Fill me with Your righteousness,

Let my appetite be changed.
