Those old times

Walking out on lindsey, gone to check the mail. Quincy likes the coupons, let's see what's for sale. Wind down from the north, cold this time of year. After what we've been through, I can't believe I'm standing here.

Strolled back into the driveway, and my nissan caught my eye. Thought about the last time we took it for a drive. All the dirt that's stained along the sides. Man, I'm glad we had those old times.

Saw my boat out in the yard, the one I got from keener. I remember how hard it was when we tried to clean her. Remember Deklyn and Adelyn were both playing outside. I could have made them work, but that day, I let it slide.

I wish I could have moved here, or at least just hung around. And made more memories in this quiet little town. But the ones we already have will suit me just fine. Man, I'm glad we had those old times.

I remember our old neighbor who used to live across the yard. Every now and then, he would ride on his golf cart. Such a nice man, his name I can't recall. He's done passed on, and now his grandson owns it all.

I came to realize right before my eyes how fast time flies.
