We started out just walking, just talking, just seeing

Where five miles of daylight would take us that evening.

Pink skies painted up like they were made for us,

Clouds drifting slow like they didn’t wanna rush.

You laughed out loud, and I swore right then

I thought, “Man, I hope this walk never ends.”

Sunset colors seem different when you’re in it.

Pink skies glowing, crescent moon climbing,

Every step with you just feels like good timing.

And yeah, I might’ve glanced back once or twice —

How can you not appreciate something so nice....... your beautiful

We joked about the day, about life, about nothing,

But every word you said had my heartbeat jumping.

The air got cooler, but you kept me warm,

Talking about dreams while the night took form.

And the moon showed up like it wanted a peek,
