Shadows of the Past

In the dark of the night, I'm searching for the light

Bruised and battered, but still holding on tight

1885, silent wounds, lingering inside

Fighting shadows, lost hope, nowhere left to hide

Trying to find a spark under a sky so gray

Wondering if tomorrow will bring a better day

Scars of the past, heavy on my soul
