This day and every day my eyes darken focused on the horizon hoping for a single way to come out alive. I’ve said my farewells leaving my family behind. Let mercy be my guide should I lose myself to my demons. Torn apart from joy and duty my soul yearns for peace. But I know, oh I know only death will be my peace. This war has horrors and tales even I can’t tell. The devils try over and over in my mind but my angels are stronger. Even still my demeanor remains as others avoid. My soul tied to a fire that rages brighter than an inferno. And one day yeah one day this fire will be unleashed.
