Nearing the End

Yeah, the end is near, I can hear those trumpets hummin’

Storm clouds twist, but I feel my Heaven comin’

Shadow on my back, but fear? I rise above it

Name been written in the book—yeah, eternal covenant

Used to walk with death, cold breath on my shoulder

But He pulled me from the grave when the nights got colder

Led me to the river where the chains got older

Waters washed me clean, now my soul grows bolder

I was locked in the dark where the dead stay restless

Whispers in the hall, every thought felt breathless

But He called my name, pulled me out that tension

Grace hit hard like a forceful ascension

Led me to the banks where the lost find freedom

Said, “Drink deep, child, let My spirit feed him”

Cup overflowed, yeah, peace—couldn’t leave it

Life in my lungs, and I finally believed it

He tore out my page from the book of the fallen

Rewrote my story with a truth so callin’

Hands in the water where the pain kept haunting

Came out new—like a fire just dawning

Now the winds howl loud, but the fire inside stays clearer

Armor on my soul—ain’t no room for terror

Every step I take, I feel the presence nearer

Even when the end creeps close in the mirror

Walkin’ with the One who brought me here

I don’t run from the storm, let it crash, let it rumble

I been through the pit, watched kingdoms crumble

But He lifted me up from the weight and the stumble

Put light in my spine when the nights grew jungle

Books never lie—He erased my death sentence

Grace hit different when you witness repentance

From the gutters of the soul to a holy ascendance

Chains hit the floor—yeah, divine independence

When the end is near, and the skies start breakin’

I won’t fear nothin’, no terror overtakin’

Heaven still comin’, every breath I’m embracin’
