You shouldn’t have a chip on your shoulder…for leaving

I promise I’m still breathing and my heart still beating

And I will still blink, and I’ll still move, and there will be no attitudes

Just all smiles bc you’ve been here for a while so don’t stay

And trust me when I say…I’ll be pleased when you return but alone time I also yearn

Time is precious when spent together eventful, sedentary or in bad weather

But taking time to be apart is also healthy for the heart

Because missing you is very hard but I love the idea of being missed so please understand when I say I’ll be ok if you don’t stay
