The hardest truth 


The hardest truth I had to accept , was realizing people don't value me the way I value them .

I'm one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet ,

I give my time,  my energy , even my last dime without thinking twice .

But I learned the hard way , when you give like that , people start thinking it's owed to them.

They forget how rare it is , they forget how much it costs you to keep showing up . 

Don't forget don't forget .... 

So now I don't say a word , I don't give you a warning . I just fall back .

Because once you show me you don't value me the way I value you .

You will never get that version of me again . No never again never again .
