Shadows

Silent shadows, hidden scars,

Whispers echo from afar,

Lost in darkness, haunted mind,

Seeking truth that I can't find.

I was a shadow in my own skin,

Locked out, locked in, shadows deep within,

Whispers in the dark, silent screams,

Louder than the words I never mean.

He whispered, "Come closer ," let me see.

Should've run away, but fear took me.

He Sneaked in the darkness, while I was asleep, Broke my trust left my soul to weep.

Doctors' eyes and lawyers’ grin,

Painted guilt where none should have been,

Shattered mirrors, made me small,

Taught me to hush, hide it all.

Carrying shame like a tattooed stain,

Telling my heart to never complain,

Built walls high to silence pain,

Stood my ground, found my voice again.

Made the choice to rise above,

Healed my scars with strength and love,

Stronger than the storm, won't fall apart,

Breaking free, mending my heart.

Now I stand tall, shadows behind,

Reclaiming my soul, peace I find,

Healing every scar, shining bright,

I am the dawn, emerging into light.
