Peace Beyond the Tomb

A silence broken, gentle light, a story old and true

A message whispered through the night, reborn anew

A figure in their midst, alive, revealing face

Startled, frightened, hearts beat quick, they questioned what they see

A ghost or flesh and bones alive, in this mystery

He stands before them, hands and feet, a sight so clear and real

"Touch and see, no ghost, but life," the love they thought they'd steal

Peace be with you, in this miracle, in this light

Hope is rising, shining bright, into the night

Peace be with you, in His touch, in His eyes

A risen Lord, alive, beyond disguise

They could not believe the joy, amazement filled their soul

Still wonder in their trembling, exalted and made whole

He asked for food, a simple act, to show His human side

Broiled fish shared around, in love and humility tied
