Guided Off the Long Black Train

Long black train rolling through the night,

Darkness heavy, shining bright,

Guided by a Lord so true,

He's the light to lead you through.

On the tracks of pain, victims stand,

Bruised and battered, trying to withstand,

The shadows, whispers of despair,

But there's a hope that’s always there.

Faces turn to heaven’s grace,

Praying for a saving place,

In the midst of darkness deep,

The Lord's love is yours to keep.

Oh, long black train, your hold is strong,

But the Lord’s grace is mighty and long,

Guiding angels, send your light,

Lead these souls into the night.

Lucifer’s whispers, grim reaper’s call,

Test the faith of one for all,

Yet in the shadows, hope survives,

By His mercy, we rise.

Why did you place us in this fight?

Lord, shine your eternal light,

Grant us courage, give us sight,

Help us find the dawn’s first light.

Victims ask, "Why did you allow?

Pain and scorn, the broken law?"
