Stuck in the grind, just passing the time

Caught in a loop, lost in my mind

The clock’s dragging slow, the day never ends

Waiting for that moment, when I can pretend

To be anywhere but here, chasing my dreams

Sitting at my desk, or so it seems

Far away from this monotony

Counting the seconds, feeling so confined

Waiting for the bell to unwind

Bored out of my mind, twiddling my thumbs

Wishing for the weekend, here it comes

Got my pen and paper, just passing the time

Coffee's gone cold, mind’s wandering free

Imagining sunsets on some distant sea

The hum of machines, a lullaby

Dreaming of thunder and open sky
