If I had a Western Town,
that I needed a Sheriff to Run,
Matt Dillon would be good,
but he still needs a Gun.
And Lucas McCain the Rifleman,
would see that justice was Done,
Along with Judge Roy Bean,
& other heroes riding off in the Sun.
Even Daniel Boone was a man,
with a big man Exclaim,
And in the legend of Billy Jack,
they all knew his Name.
From Bananza to Big Valley,
even the High Chapperal was Good,
I watched a many movies about,
John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
Although these were great men,
along with a plenty More,
If my Uncle Cowboy was on the scene,
no outlaws could escape the Roar.
Because he was stern in his ways,
and when he spoke that's all Folks,
You best get to Stepping away,
for his hands had lightning Strokes.
And if you formed a Posse,
to go in deep Terrain,
Within the top 5 plot in his spot,
I'd find my uncle's Stake and Gain.
He was the last in the Lineage,
of Hazel and Leroy,
Now he's back with them,
& his siblings in blissful heavenly Joy.
Preceeded in death by his Parents,
Brothers & Sisters in the Family,
From Uncle Earnest to Aunt Bea,
Uncle Willie and my mama Fannie.
And as in all he'll be missed,
gone but not Forgotten,
Deceased and Released,
no longer to be Downtrodden.
And in lieu of giving Flowers,
for you Showers of Love,
Cause in my Western Town for Sheriff,
it's you I'm thinking Of.
So uncle take your rest,
you're at Peace from all the Noise,
You didn't have a badge / a six shooter,
but you was a Cowboy with a Voice.
He was a Cowboy with a Voice,
and he brought Action with his Noise,
So if you came against him,
you left him no Choice.
He was a Cowboy with a Voice.
He was a Cowboy with a Voice.
