Dream to be a singer

Kelly is just a small town girl

Who lived on a farm all her life growing up

And her daddy told her that this place will be hers someday

She says sorry Daddy but my dreams to be a singer

Daddy told her that's a waste of time you're never going to make it just give up on your crazy dream

But that just lit a fire in her to prove him wrong, yeah now

Kelly goes karaoke every night at the local bar, yeah

And everybody's clapping and dancing along as she sings

Oh She signs autographs after she's done like a big star, oh yeah

The town folks Tell her she's going to be a big star,

Kelly smiles and tells them thank you, yeah that's just lit a fire even more to achieve her dream to be a singer

daddy's yelling at her cuz she got home too late again

Says I don't know why you keep going for this crazy dream of yours

She tells him it's not crazy Daddy if you have passion for what you want to do

Daddy I wish you would come watch me sing and see how happy it makes me, yeah daddy

Tell me that I'm going to be a big star,

it lights a fire in me to achieve my dream to be a singer even more

Her daddy stops by at the bar on a Saturday night

Where she's singing he's just amazed how good she is

He watches around as a town folks dance, clap, and sing

Right then and there he knew that she proved him wrong she can't achieve that dream and she believes it enough

Years have gone by and she has proved that dreams can come true

Kelly never gave up on her dream. I have learned we have to prove what we are worth don't let anybody else tell you what you're not capable of shattered those catabilities showing your passion because you never know and they will never know to you try and if you fail at least you tried
