Raindrops

Raindrops are falling yet we are warm inside

They drop like whispers in the black of night

Drops are tapping on the window pane, wind is blowing through the trees

Leaves are rustling as we head down the path

Umbrella covers our heads … we laugh with each step

Cozy inside, mom's cooking wraps around us like a hug

We are safe inside our house,

Fire on the hearth, warms our souls
