I’m surrounded by darkness, lost in a world of nothing

My soul chained so cold, attached to something

My heart cries out to the deep, begging for what is good

Hidden tears when I weep, misunderstood

Where is the break of dawn to meet me?

Where is the light that still seeks me?

Fire of the blazing sun

Lord, You are the only One

To pull me from this darkest cold

From a cell of hate where souls are sold
