Dark streets echoing, shadows in my mind

Trying to find some peace, leave the past behind

Got home from the grind, tension's still tight

Walking solo in the dark, fighting fright

Mind's a battlefield, haunting memories surge

Struggling with the flashback, pain on the verge

Every shadow feels like a threat

But the ghost of the past just won't fade

Flashback crash, ripping through my soul

Trying to stay whole, but I'm losing control

Fire in my tent, chili's warm but cold inside

Battling the echoes where my fears reside

A stranger's rage, man yelling in my face

Back in that moment, losing all my grace

Knife at my throat, clock's ticking slow

mind racing, heart pounding, can't let it show

Climbing out from the dark cave inside

Holding on to hope, trying to survive

Memory's grip, hard to break free

Searching for serenity
