Squirrel Trouble

Headin' to the woods to clear my troubled mind,

Where the tall oaks stand and the creek's unwind.

Took a little breather on a weathered old stump,

Out of nowhere, that critter made me jump.

He was a bushy-tailed bandit with eyes full of mischief,

Lookin' for a snack, got a target, real swift.

I turned 'round real quick, but it was too late,

He’d sunk his teeth in, sealing my fate.

Oh, the squirrel bit my nuts, now I'm doubled in pain,

Singin’ high-pitched notes in a world gone insane.

Nature’s little prankster, with an impish twitch,

Turned my quiet day into a hitch.

Tried to shake him off, but he held on tight,

Dancin' round the meadow, such a comical sight.

Neighbors saw me prancin’, thought I lost my mind,

But that squirrel had a grip, one of a kind.

Rushed to the doc with a tale hard to believe,

He laughed out loud, said, "Son, you're in a weave."

Gave me a shot, said, "You'll be right as rain,

But those nuts of yours might feel some disdain."
