VERSE 1 — “CHAINS DON’T BREAK ME” (3 Maccabees)
They tried to crush the faithful — that ancient royal decree,
But the saints stood firm like lions in captivity.
3 Maccabees taught me: strength ain’t in the flesh,
It’s the God of our Fathers who defends the oppressed.
Elephants ready for slaughter — but Heaven flipped the script,
Terror turned on tyrants when the angels made the shift.
No weapon formed stands when the Lord steps in,
Empires crumble, but the righteous win.
They fasted under pressure when the world pressed tight,
They prayed in the darkness till the Lord sent light.
They stood in the furnace of political rage,
And God turned their death sentence into a holy stage.
CHORUS — “UNBOWED, UNBROKEN”
I kneel to no throne but the King of all kings,
No fear in my bones, no chain on my wings.
From exile to fire, His mercy’s my shield —
I stand with the saints who refused to yield.
VERSE 2 — “THE SWORD OF WISDOM” (Sirach / Ben Sira)
Sirach in my bloodstream — every verse a blade,
Cutting straight through lies that the weak minds made.
“Prepare your soul for testing” when you step to the Lord,
Gold forged in affliction is the true reward.
“Fools return to vomit,” trapped in cycles they choose,
While the wise stay rooted so they never lose.
“Set your heart right,” walk the narrow terrain,
’Cause “acceptable men are refined in pain.”
His wisdom is fire — His counsel, steel,
Sirach taught me courage is the mark of the real.
“Do not waver in distress,” don’t fold when it’s rough,
For the Lord lifts up warriors made faithful and tough.
CHORUS — “UNBOWED, UNBROKEN”
I kneel to no throne but the King of all kings,
No fear in my bones, no chain on my wings.
From exile to fire, His mercy’s my shield —
I stand with the saints who refused to yield.
VERSE 3 — “THE BOOK OF EXILE” (Baruch)
Baruch said, “You walked from light into shadow;
You abandoned wisdom — now the path grows narrow.”
But return to the Lord and the chains fall off,
His law is the fountain when the desert turns rough.
“Learn where wisdom is” — not in wealth or might,
But in fear of the Lord and the love of the Light.
He calls back the exiles with a voice like thunder,
Breaks iron bars, tears tyrants asunder.
Baruch saw nations rise, then collapse in pride,
But the remnant stands firm with the Lord by their side.
He gathers the scattered, restores the name —
For the covenant burns with unquenchable flame.
FINAL CHORUS — “THE REMNANT WALKS ON”
I kneel to no throne but the King of all kings,
My spirit stays sharp like a sword Heaven brings.
From wisdom to exile, from trial to field —
The remnant stays standing.
We refuse to yield.
We refuse to yield.
