A vessel wanders the ocean’s endless night,
Cradled by waves, erased from all known sight.
No voice to call, no shore to claim its name,
It drifts in silence, lost to wind and flame.
So are we, like ships with broken stars,
Adrift in shadows, bearing unseen scars.
Our compasses tremble, our bearings unclear,
We search for a course but find only fear.
Yet still there shines a star beyond the deep,
A faithful light that never falls asleep.
It cuts through darkness, steady, strong, and true,
And draws our wandering hearts safely through.
His name is Jesus, peace upon the sea,
The Christ who breaks our chains and sets us free.
He gathers mercy where our failures lie,
And lifts our eyes toward hope we can’t deny.
He is the shepherd calling through the storm,
The guiding warmth, the calm, the living norm.
Through Him, the lost find harbor, rest, and breath,
A way made clear from life, through love, past death.
Emmanuel, God with us, near and sure.
He takes the helm; His hands are firm and pure.
So what keeps you silent when your heart still knows
The call to turn, to trust, to finally go?
