Growing old together

We’re growing old together

It’s gonna be so fun

Going through the best years

With my favorite one

We both are retired now

So it’s gonna be great

To sleep late in the morning

And at night stay up late

We can still remember

When music sounded good

Our jeans lasted longer

With no holes they would

We all paid attention

we had no cell phones

Life back then was simpler

We weren’t so all alone

We’re growing old together

We’re having so much fun

We’re gonna learn computers

There’s so much to be done

There’s Internet and streaming

And so much more to come

We’re gonna fall in love again

And then drive into the sun

I guess we were just lucky

That we grew up when we did

The world our kids are living in

Lacks a lot to be said

Their eyes are glued to a phone

Their minds are all half dead

When it comes to basic math

Can’t do it in their heads

when it comes to technology

I think we’ll have to pass

We’ll do things the old way

We’re gonna have a blast

We’ll find a spot on lovers lane

As we go home from our date

Parking with the temptations

Probably on eight track tape
