Heaven’s Gentle Hug

Soft whispers from above, a love that never fades

Heaven’s calling out to me, through dreams and gentle shades

One evening in my sleep, I saw him walking slow

Down a dirt road passing by, in heaven’s gentle glow

He looked so kind and calm, with eyes that softly smile

A hug that touched my heart, across the distant miles

He whispered tender words, that cut through all my pain

A message from my grandfather, beyond the earthly plane

Forgive your dad, he loves you still, from heaven’s shining light

He’s watching over you, through darkest night

Patience, child, he’s on a journey, to find Jesus too

From above I hear your cries, I’m watching over you

He told me of the girls, we’re all wrapped in love’s embrace

From heaven’s gentle shadow, he sees each precious face

He said, I must move on, there’s more work to be done

But my love for you, forever shining like the sun

A father’s hope and a grandfather’s prayer, echo through each breeze

Love that crosses boundaries, time and space with ease
