From Childhood to Grace

Oh, what a journey, what a grace

From childhood's innocence to this sacred place

He held me so gently when I was just three

Whispered softly, "Child, you're safe with me."

In the quiet of my heart, I felt His gentle touch

A divine presence, loving me so much,

First time I heard His voice, a whisper through that cold basement under my baby blankie..

Promising, " have patience with me."

Through the storms, through the trials,

His love carried me on, though I did not feel him for a while, I knew he was always with me...

No matter where life leads, His grace remains strong

He waited patiently, for my soul to see, in

His love, he was waiting for ME to love me......

Jesus, you've come into my heart in these past days

Filling all my love, guiding me all the way

From childhood's trust to a love so strong

I'm wrapped in your mercy, renewed in your arms

Thank you for never letting go

Your love has made my spirit whole

From the first embrace to now I see

You healed my soul, you set me free, thank you for carrying me

Loving myself was the start, a foundation built strong

No drugs, no alcohol, just plain old me, His Spirit all along and guiding me

Forgiving what was lost, embracing what now is

Walking in His light, his love feels so bright

Thank you, Jesus, for loving me

For the journey, my path, that you have given me. I have lost you once, and found thee.. I have walked this tattered earth for miles and miles, I have received Your love again. In Your grace, forever..... I will keep you inside of me
